By partnering with suppliers to take action and mitigate risks.
The TRaceability Alliance for Sustainable CosmEtics (TRASCE)
The TRaceability Alliance for Sustainable CosmEtics (TRASCE) is a pioneering industry alliancebringing together 18 cosmetic industry brands and suppliers to accelerate the sustainable transformation of the industry. While various individual traceability initiatives have emerged in recent years, the TRASCE consortium was formed to address traceability across the cosmetics industry at scale. As members, we have committed to working collectively to map our supply chains across the entire value chain on a common digital platform, Transparency-One, an ISN Company.
In the long-term, the consortium aims to develop a collective approach to analyzing social and environmental risks in supply chains. Together, we will interpret the data collected and define common progress plans to implement collective remediation actions throughout the supply chains and support their transition to a more sustainable and resilient model.
In this respect, TRASCE will help respond to three fundamental challenges for the industry by: 1) strengthening the collective understanding of the cosmetics industry supply chains, 2) assessing the related social and environmental risks, and 3) determining the necessary actions to support suppliers in their transition.
